Advanced Theater Arts is for students who have already received Honors credit for Professional Honors Acting.   Advanced Theater Arts students must take Theater Arts and also pass an audition in order to take the course.  Advanced Theater Arts students will focus more deeply on theater history, well-known playwrights and their works, and theatrical theory.  Advanced students will focus more deeply on script-writing techniques in the hopes of competing in student theatrical festivals. Advanced Theater Arts students will learn more techniques for performance, direction, and production. Advanced Theater Arts students will also direct and perform in final scenes for Final Scene Night.
